Teacher's Gifts!

Well it's that time of year and I've been creating up a storm! The two are for my children's teachers. I thought the calendar would be helpful for them! It's a mini calendar file I found online, and made it right through till December 2010 for them! I hope they like them as they were both fabulous teachers for my kids!

What they are, are dry erase message boards in case it wasn't clear :o)

I used the paper pack That's Amore and stickease as well, for this one X7107B. And The Works alphabet D1195

I found this one online, I wish I saved peoples names to give them credit! I loved this combination...it's the Unforgettable L2 paper pack X7106B and stickease as well. And typewriter keys D1220

Here I was a rebel and used contraband paper that I had lying around as well as ribbon and rub ons. The grad cap was from my computer, in the cap I put her high school name and year...you can't see that! I hope she likes it!
Thanks for looking everyone! Have a great weekend!

I have the best Dad!

I'm sure every girl thinks that her Dad is the best...but I think mine is! This is what I got him for Father's Day this year. I usually get the same 'ol same 'ol Canadian Tire gift card...but this year I decided on some good reading for him! All Chicken Soup for the Soul books, "loving our dogs" (he's a TOTAL dog lover) "Dads and Daughter's" and "wisdom of Dads". And for the new books I made a lovely and simple book mark with my kids on it smiling at him! It's nothing fancy, but it's nice to make my Dad something...usually it's much easier to whip something up for women and the men get left out! I hope he enjoys the books and the special book mark! (book mark idea came from Martha Stewarts website)

Happy Father's Dad Papason! I love you!!!

Happy Father's Day!

Another Scrappy spots...not using spots lol! Father's day is a little closer than I expected, so thought I'd create one today using this technique again. The fish were pretty easy to cut out, so didn't take as long as the balloons!

As an added tough, I covered the fish with liquid glass to look more "realistic" lol! Thanks for looking!

Here's the supplies used:

Hook, Line and Sinker C1236

Giggle lowercase D1137

Back Country L2 paper pack X7110B

Goldrush, Olive, dutch blue, star spangled blue, Black and New England Ivy stamp pads

Barn red and outdoor denim cardstock

white cardstock

Fine black marker 4275

piercing tool Z1114

liquid glass Z679

It's that time of year when it's time to make a gift for teachers! I haven't done this years yet...just been looking back at the ones I have made! I made this one for my son's Kindergarten teacher, she still has it on her desk! So nice to know it's appreciated! Actually my son is in grade 3 now and they still have a great relationship as she just lives down the street. Don't you just love your Kindergarten teacher? I know I did! Mrs. Petterson...she was the best :o)

Have a great weekend everyone!

I made this up this morning for my vet. She was so great with Chopper during her last year...or should I say she was so great with ME during Chopper's last year! So I just want her to know how much I appreciate her, and hoping we have many many years seeing each other with my new addition Annie!

I used the CTMH stamp set "Best Friend Doggie" which they don't sell anymore and of course I don't have...borrowed it from a friend, thanks Cindi!
Details:
4X6 acrylic photo frame
C1039 Best Friend Doggie
black, chocolate and hyndrangia ctmh ink
prisma color pencils
terrifically tacky tape
micro beads
rsvp pen
post it note pad

Yes...You can stamp anything!

The theme for my daughter's b'day party was puppies. We just lost our dog of 12 years, and got a new Labradoodle in the past month...so puppies have been on our minds!

I wanted to make dog bone cookies for her treat bags and came up with the plan to stamp on them! It worked out alright! She loved them! One side says "milkbone" and the back says "Cherity is 7!"

My first blog hop!!! June Stamp of the Month

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring June's SOTM, which is Tender Tags, a set of 15 stamps. If you have come here from Pamala's Blog, you are on the right path! If this is your first stop, you may want to go back to Jena's Blog and start from the beginning!
***
This month we have 42 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I used the stamp set "blooming flourishes" D1263 as well as the stamp of the month "tender tags" D1350 on this card. The colors were foreign for me, but I wanted to keep this style of card simple. I used parchment and grey wool. I also used a technique called, "heavenly holes" that can be found on the Technique Junkies website if you are a subscriber!

Now "Hop" on over to Tammy's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the June SOTM is only available until June 30th! Contact me to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!
